Chemicals in Plastic Blog Posts

Two eco-challenges down and I'm still alive. Woohoo! So what's in store for week #3? 

MightyNest Eco-challenge #3: No plastic in the microwave or dishwasher for one week. Yes, that means dishes, bottles, sippys, kids plates, tupperware, silverware...anything and everything.

My initial reaction was - I can do this with my eyes closed! (Listen to me getting all cocky!) Afterall, I can't cook so we eat out a ton and rarely bring home leftovers to heat up in our microwave. It's actually  more of an expensive breadbox than anything.

But wait...now that I'm thinking about it, we do use it every morning to heat up Jack's precious "boobewy poncaketh" (a.k.a. blueberry pancakes)...and his peas for lunch...and mac-n-cheese...and Sammy's beloved green beanies ... and ... clearly I haven't thought this through.

THE DISHWASHER TOO??? But I have those Dr. Browns bottles with all of those stinking little parts! UGH I'M GOING TO BE WASHING DISHES ALL WEEK! Read more...
