We know most of you have seen a Lifefactory glass beverage bottle. But did you know that you can have fun with color blocking (fancy design term for combining blocks of color together) with the addition of Lifefactory's colorful caps? If you already own a fabulous Lifefactory bottle, here's an opportunity to spiff it up with a splash of additional contrasting color. Otherwise, if you're in the market to outfit your family with new water bottles, maybe you'll consider trading tops!

We have 10 different colors of glass water bottle caps in stock. The Lifefactory non-toxic polypropylene leakproof caps fit both sizes of the Lifefactory adult glass water bottles (16 oz and 22 oz).  The cap closes with a quick twist and the handle can be conveniently clipped to a bag. Both the bottle and the cap are dishwasher safe. In addition to water, we love using these bottles for iced coffee and smoothies too. Read more...

Ever feel like you're toting around a water bottle that looks just like everyone else’s? Are you ready to put away your sports bottle and switch to something that’s modern and hip for everyday use outside of the gym? Perhaps it’s time to stand out from the crowd of bland water bottles that you see on subways, buses and sidewalks all across America. It’s certainly time to show people that eco-friendly can also be ultra-cool.

Takeya glass water bottles are the perfect combination of form and function. Because they're made of high quality tempered glass, your beverage remains free of any plastic or metallic taste. A silicone sleeve keeps the glass protected from everyday wear and tear and ensures a more comfortable and sturdier grip on the bottle. The sleek rectangular cut-out on the silicone sleeve adds flair while allowing you to see how much liquid is remaining. Read more...

Many articles have been written about the health benefits of staying hydrated. Since nearly 2/3 of our bodies are comprised of water, it plays a vital role in our wellbeing. Among the many benefits to drinking water is that it helps to rid our bodies of toxins. So, when you make the choice to purchase a new water bottle, it’s important to look for one that is free of harmful chemicals and toxins. You want your water bottle to be safe.

A vast majority of water bottles on the market are plastic, many of which contain the harmful chemical, Bisphenol A. BPA is an endocrine disruptor with estrogen-like effects. Even the alternative plastic water bottles which are said to be BPA free contain synthetic chemicals, the effects of which have not been sufficiently tested. Read more about BPA-free plastic and its potential risks. Read more...

It seems like everywhere we go there is a water bottle for sale. Most are plastic though, with some type of logo promoting an attraction or a sports team or even a school! Unfortunately, many of the water bottles touted around by kids also contain BPA.

The chemical Bisphenol A, (BPA) is routinely used to coat the inside of aluminum bottles with a plastic or epoxy lining and in the lining of cans to prevent corrosion and food contamination. It is also used to make plastic bottles transparent and shatterproof. BPA is also an endocrine disruptor - a substance which interferes with the body's natural hormones. BPA can imitate our body's own hormones in a way that can be extremely harmful to many stages of natural development and kids are especially sensitive to the effects of BPA.

When everyone on the MightyNest team immediately buys a new product as soon as it comes in it is a great sign.  That is exactly what happened when we added the Lifefactory Glass Water Bottles.  Fast forward 4 months and now customers, friends and family all have them and it has become one of the our most popular products.   There is something about drinking from a glass water bottle that just tastes right and the nicely designed silicone sleeve makes it easy to grip.  The silicone sleeve combined with soda lime glass (the same glass used to make wine bottles) also helps improve the shatter resistance.  I have now dropped mine at least 10 times on cement and hardwood floors and it is still in one piece!  I wouldn't recommend throwing it around trying to break it as it is glass and can still break but it has passed my test and I am typically hard on things.  This is not the right water bottle to take on a long bike ride or run but other than that mine never leaves my side. Read more...

We just started carring glass water bottles by Lifefactory, and I bought one.  I admit, I was hesitant at first because 22 ounces seemed like a lot to be carrying around but I decided to buy one and give it a try.  The result - I’m in love.  Let me count the ways (or really the whys)…

1 - I LOVE drinking from glass.  I genuinely feel like the water tastes better (than say drinking from stainless steel).

2 – It has a big mouth.  Not only does this mean that I can put ice in my bottle to feed my addiction for really, really, really cold water, but it also makes it easier to drink from than sports caps or other bottles which means that I end up drinking more water than before.  It’s a win-win. Read more...
