08.31.09 Eco-challenge kick-off
I drive a Suburban. I drink two Venti Mochas from Starbucks every day out of paper cups and I never remember to re-use the sleeves. My boys wear regular old diapers and drink out of bottles that contain BPA. I drink soda out of a can, water out of a plastic bottle and seldom buy organic food.
I think it’s safe to say….I NEED YOUR HELP!
To light a fire under me, my friends here at MightyNest have dared me to take on something we call The MightyNest Eco-challenge. Starting October 5, I’ll be taking on one eco-challenge per week until I’m no longer an embarrassment. These challenges will be simple but impactful changes I can make in my every day life.
Sounds easy, right? Well there’s a twist…YOU get to choose the challenges!
Over the next couple of weeks, we’ll be collecting your suggestions for challenges posted in the comments section below. Then on Oct 4, MightyNest co-founders Chris and Kristen, will gather all the comments and choose my first few challenges.
Couple of rules of the road:
• Challenges should be simple changes that yield mighty impact; in other words, I’m not installing a windmill in my backyard. (although that would be kinda cool)
• Challenges should cost no more than $30; in fact, the cheaper the better.
• I reserve the right to add or change the rules here at any time. ☺
If you’d like to play along and do the challenges with me – great!! I’ll be checking in a few times throughout each week to let you know my progress and would love to hear from you guys. Let the games begin…
