Eco-challenge #4: Wave bye-bye to BPA bottles boys.
10.27.09 Eco-challenge #4: Wave bye-bye to BPA bottles boys.
It's that time again! So....what's in store for week #4?
MightyNest Eco-challenge #4: Ditch the old plastic BPA baby bottles! Replace them with safer alternatives made from glass and BPA-free plastic.
I have three words...BRING IT ON! I've been waiting for this one. For two years straight, I have hand-washed a zillion stinking little pieces from my Dr. Browns bottles and I can't take it anymore! Not to mention the fact that at least half of the bottles in my collection are pre-BPA uproar, which means they're loaded up with everyone's favorite chemical, BPA.
I'm sooo ready for something simple, safe and cute. Yes, cute. Have you seen the bottles I'll be trying out from LifeFactory and Green to Grow?? Brightly-colored mod sleeves, little happy fruit faces...packaging genius. But most importantly, they're completely safe which is obviously a very good thing.
The only thing that may cause some havoc is I'm going from 20 bottles to 4 for the week while I'm testing them out. Must everything point back to washing dishes? Sigh.
Do you have any questions you'd like to ask MightyNest about safe/unsafe bottles? Let me know by posting a comment and I'll include answers from the experts in my check-in post later this week.
Wish me luck...
