This was a Christmas presents for my 6mo old granddaughter. I recevied it two days before Christmas and gave it to her, when she saw it she immediately reached out to grab it and started sucking on Sophie's face. It was so cute she LOVES IT SO MUCH!!
By the way her mom's name is Sophie. We Love Love Sophie the Giraffe!!
The neck of Chan Pie Gnon is easy to grasp for our little 4.5 month old... Sophie's legs (in mouth) seem to be appealing. Both make wonderful sounds which creates another level of interest. Scale wise, I think Sophie could be a bit smaller but there is probably a good reason that she is not. No doubt, both will become favorites as our little one's teeth begin to emerge.
My son loves this toy/teether. He smiles every time Sophie squeaks and loves to chew on her legs. My only caution is to not submerge Sophie in water. My daughter's Sophie was accidentally used as a bath toy. Water will get inside and won't come out. We threw hers away for fear of the bacteria growing inside.
Our little one-year-old granddaughter has had this toy for some time. It was given to her by a grandpa from the other side of the family. I would have never considered the toy for a 1st birthday gift, but my daughter-in-law told me to please get her Sophie because it is her very favorite toy in the world and they lost it on vacation! SHE ADORES LITTLE SOPHIE!
This is my 5 month old son's favorite toy. I give this gift for every baby shower. It's so great - soft, makes a cute squeak noise, and seems to really help with teething.

My granddaughter loves chewing on Sophie to help with teething. We love the fact that it is safe for her.
