Beeswax Block Crayons in Wood Box Reviews

We love these beeswax blocks! We've tried them out with our kids and the effects were fantastic. A great bonus is that you can turn crayons on their side and create wide swaths of color, without the crayon snapping, because the blocks don't break. The blocks are also fun to use for rubbings: place paper over an interesting texture and rub the block over surface to reveal a transfer. To top it off, it comes with a perfect wooden storage container.

i can't believe my mother paid this much for a box of crayons. i'd return them but we tested them out and i think the girls spilled alittle glue on the box, so i can't. we'll probably hardly ever use them and i might give them to a second-hand store. it's so RIDICULOUS to pay this much for basic crayons, especially in today's economy! we were disappointed and had to go out to buy the big box (64 colors) of crayola crayons with sharpener, which is what we had really wanted grandma to send in the first place. even my toddler seems to prefer the thick crayola crayons to thes blocks. in fact, we had made some block crayons of our own just weeks before receiving these, simply by melting old crayons in the oven in a mini muffin tin.
