Small and lightweight, the 12oz Klean Kanteen Classic is great when space is limited. The 12oz Classic Kanteen is made from high quality, 18/8, food-grade stainless steel that's totally free of BPA, lead and other toxins. Because stainless steel itself is safe, there is no need to coat the inside of the bottle with a plastic or epoxy lining, which is one of the main differences between a stainless steel Klean Kanteen and aluminum bottles.
Cap is made from BPA-free Polypropylene (#5) plastic. Keep the kids happy with an easy-to-hold, spill-proof drink. Please note, with the sport cap, the water bottle is not leakproof. It's a versatile option for kids and adults. With the Sippy Cap, it converts to a safe, BPA-free sippy for kids.

The 12oz Classic is also available with the new and improved Sport Cap 2.0 that's six times stronger and more impact resistant. The large-mouth design fits ice cubes and makes cleaning your Klean Kanteen Classic as simple as scrubbing it with soap and water or throwing it in the dishwasher. Yet the slim design fits into just about any cup holder.
I really like this cup for my 20-month-old. I can let water sit in the cup overnight without worrying about leaching chemicals. When I used to use plastic sippy cups, the water would start tasting like plastic after a few short hours. The only negative thing I have to say is that the paint has already started chipping, even though we've only had the cup for three months. I'd take chipping paint over plastic flavored water any day, though!
