These Duralex Picardie Glass Tumblers are made in France from tempered glass and are free of lead and BPA.

Known as the "original French tumblers", the tempered Picardie glasses are functional and stylish - they feel extremely comfortable in your hand. Named after the Picardie province in northern France, this region is the heartland of French gothic cathedrals. The Picardie tempered glasses are suitable for hot or cold drinks. Glasses can be stacked 3 or 4 high.
Duralex is a great choice for glass tumblers because it is:

I've had the 16oz size glasses for about a month now. I am very happy with my purchase.
They seem to be quite sturdy unlike the "Impressions" glassware they are replacing. The later glasses needed to be handled with care and tempered prior to putting one that had contained a cold drink into the dishwasher.
The Picardies are much lighter than I had anticipated they would be, considering their thickness and durability. I like how the glass subtly bellies out around the middle, giving it understated character.
Should I require other barware in the future, I would start my search with the Duralex brand, Picardie design.
