Weck canning jars are made of thick glass to withstand boiling and sterilization. Glass lids are immune to rusting and can be used to process again and again. Since the lids are made of glass (as opposed to aluminum) there is no BPA coating that is found on metal canning jar lids. The replaceable natural rubber rings, when facing downward indicate clearly that the seal on the jars are intact. Each jar contains 1 glass lid, 1 natural rubber ring and 2 stainless steel clamps.
1/2 Liter Tulip Round Jar (about 1 pint) is ideal for small households or small amounts of fruit, berries, pickles, etc. The 1 Liter Tulip Round Jar (about 1 quart) is ideal for all kinds of fruit, like peaches, and pickles.

These are great looking canning jars. It is a little tricky to get the band perfectly placed so you can seal the jar. I am using these for storage because I am trying to get rid of unnecessary boxes of stuff. The jars are convenient. You can see your product. Highly recommend.
