Food-grade stainless steel is used in the brewing, food and winemaking industries too. It's the material of choice because it doesn't retain or impart flavors. So apple juice tastes like apple juice, nothing more, nothing less. You can rest assured that your child's sippy is totally safe and flavor-free.

The new top design is not that great - the loop is too close to the mouth part and our 11th month old hits his nose every time he takes a drink. It isn't a complete waste because we can use it with the sport top when he gets older, but the sippy top is a poor design. The pura baby bottle with a silicone top is much better.
