How to Dry Brush Your Skin + Why It's Important

Your skin is the largest organ and has a very important role in detoxifying it. Even though dry brushing has been common in many cultures, somehow it hasn't caught on in the US. In just a few minutes a day, dry brushing can provide significant, noticeable advantages .

FIVE STEPS TO SMOOTHER SKIN: 

  1. 1. Start at your feet or head and brush lightly, always moving in circular motions towards your heart. Brush several times, overlapping as you go. As you get more comfortable with your brush, you can add more pressure. 
  2. Option: Add a couple drops of Cedarwood essential oil to your brush for a woodsy, sauna-like scent.
  3. 2. When brushing your stomach, brush in a counterclockwise motion.
  4. 4. After brushing your body, hop in the shower and alternate the water temperature to stimulate blood circulation and bring blood to the top layers of your skin.
  5. 5. Dry off and apply coconut oil to your body to replenish and maintain your skin's moisture and restorative rose oil for your face.
