This is a thick, soothing cream that does not sting my dry, cracked hands! It does take a while to absorb, though it is not greasy or sticky - if anything, it can be a little hard to spread until it warms up. It has a mild herbal/grassy scent. The container is truly a metal tube, and it comes in a cardboard box (ie it is plastic-free).
