What Makes It Mighty?

Zefiro Loofah Scrubber Sponges are a natural replacement for your plastic scrubbers. Most scrubbers are made of plastic and not only are they around for hundreds of years but they allow microplastics to go down the drain and into our water systems. Zefiro scrubber sponges are tough and durable, perfect for scrubbing off baked on food, and safe for use in cast iron and enamel cookware.
They are made from heavy-duty 100% loofah and sewn with 100% cotton thread, so they're plastic-free and fully compostable.

Dampen (allow sponge to absorb,expand & soften), add soap to lather and scrub away. Rinse, wring and air dry between uses. Dishwasher safe on top rack to disinfect.

I absolutely love these sponges, they are soft, work really well, and are completely reusable. I throw them in the dishwasher to clean and reuse, they last forever before they start to break down! I feel good about using them because before I was using sponges that I was throwing away every few weeks.
These are great sponges! Unlike two of the other reviewers, I find that these sponges quickly soften up under running water -- if you're in a hurry, use warm water & squeeze the sponge while wetting it. I love that there's a rougher "scrubby" side & a "regular" side so I can tackle any kind of mess. Plus they're fully compostable, so into my curbside compost bucket they go when I'm done!
We have no dishwasher so I use these daily! They do take a few uses to break in, but then they are wonderful!
They aren’t pliable at all so washing dishes they don’t bend making it easy to scrub dishes!
They are VERY hard and they don't soften up when you get them wet. They are highly inflexible! They hurt my arthritic hands when I try to use them. I dont' see how these can possibly be useful.
