Viori's founders traveled to an ancient village high in the rice terraced mountains of Longsheng, China, and met the local Red Yao tribe who had lived in these mountains for centuries. Noticing that all the women had lush, jet black hair, they asked the Red Yao women their beauty secret and were told of a tradition passed from mother to daughter for centuries. The women gather rice from the mountains, make rice water and ferment it for days, then use it to wash their hair. Soon a friendship and partnership that would become Viori, was born. Viori recognizes that its existence and mission as a company are inextricably tied to the extraordinary Red Yao people, forever. They are fully committed to respecting this relationship by playing a supportive role in helping preserve this unique culture.

Conditioner: Rub the bar in your palm for a few seconds, then gently rub the bar all over your hair in straight, continuous motions. Massage your scalp and hair for a couple of minutes then let the conditioner sit it in hair for 1-2 minutes. Rinse thoroughly.

I had read so many wonderful reviews about the Viori, but l was hesitant, because it was a bar and l thought it would be awkward and not lather up. I couldn’t be more wrong. Not only does the shampoo lather well, but the conditioner is fire! My hair feels like silk afterwards! In the past if I used a rubber band in my hair, it pulled and ripped some out no matter what. Now the slid right out of my hair with no fuss. My hair is brighter and shinier than ever before and I have baby hairs growing like crazy now! I’ve been using bar shampoos and conditioners for about a year, and finally decided to spend a little more to see if there’s a difference in outcome, and there most certainly is!
Shampoo lathers nicely and leaves my hair feeling squeaky clean. Conditioner is light, not goopy, and left my hair soft and manageable.
I usually air dry or cool blow dry everything but my bangs and crown, and a light curling iron on the bangs and crown. Usually there’s a lot of fizziness but not this time!
