Use and care:

Shake before use. Apply at least 2-3 spritzes to skin, twice a day. Use as the last step in your routine after all other products (lotions, makeup, SPF, etc.). You can never have too much of a good thing - spritz throughout the day, post-workout or whenever you need a refresh. For best results, use it as part of Mother Dirt's Active Probiotic System. 

Since this product is a live culture and preservative-free, it's important to keep it refrigerated to preserve the probiotics.

A note about shipping: Don’t be concerned about the temperature upon arrival. Room temperature is not harmful to the AOBs in your AO+ Restorative Mist bottle unless it is for extended periods of time (the AOB lose activity after about 4 - 5 weeks at room temp). However, we still use insulated mailers and gel packs to further protect the AO+ Restorative Mist during shipment. Do be sure to get it in the fridge right away so you can maximize the shelf-life.

My experience: This stuff is pretty amazing. I have been using AO Mist and the Mother Dirt shampoo for years now and I am repeatedly impressed. The two have replaced all soap, cleansers and the deodorant I used to use. It completely cancels out body odor for me. I have an inflammatory skin condition that, although thankfully mild to moderate, makes using deodorant and most soaps or shampoos a bad idea. The AO Mist does hasn't caused the skin irritation to resolve but it is blessedly much less since I started using the stuff. (I would guess that is due to replacing the irritants in other stuff rather than some innate anti-inflammatory property but I've read that AO Biome is conducting clinical trials for inflammatory skin diseases.) A lot of regular shampoo or soap will kill the bacteria so I recommend using the shampoo and/or cleanser that Mother Dirt sells which won't reduce the microbial population. I shower regularly and it holds up well with a spritz once or twice a day. If I am in the woods for a week without a shower I am just fine though. Much to the amazement of others - heh!

Bottom line: I recommend this product to friends and family, especially people who ask me what I did to decrease my dermatitis, and it works extremely well. About 1/5 of people I know who have tried it note some residual armpit odor that smells a bit like - oddly enough - hemp. It's not an unpleasant smell to me (sort of earthy and definitely not b.o.) but a couple of those folks switched back to conventional. In one person that smell went away after a while using the mist, so who knows.
