I LOVE face oils and body oils of all kinds, but honestly often go light on cleanser because my skin is getting drier by the second. This is a nice, light alternative to heavier cleansing balms that can make you feel like you need to wash your face again or make you wonder if your skin care will sink in. Skin feels moisturized but I can still layer on other serums or oils if I want to, yet i feel like the makeup and sunscreen are coming off. Nice milky rinse-off. I’ve used this bar regularly for a week and have fallen in love with it! At first, it seemed somewhat strange to just run the bar directly on my dry face, but as it warms and spreads more of the cleanser, it is a soothing way to start my face cleaning routine and end my day. After rinsing with water, my skin is left feeling very soft and silky. I haven’t felt the need to follow up with other cleansers so far. I like the smell very much; it is pleasant and relaxing. I was excited to try something new from HiBAR because I love their shampoos and conditioners, and the solid oil cleanser did not disappoint! It leaves skin feeling so soft and smooth. It requires quite a bit of massaging/rinsing to remove the excess oil after application, but it does a great job cleaning your skin. I am still not sure if I should be using a second cleanser afterward (as it sometimes still feels too oily) or if I should just skip moisturizing afterward, but I think it is a GREAT product once you find how to best work it into your routine. Took me a couple of times to get used to it. It doesn’t act like what I am used to….BUT after a couple of days I realized that my face felt clean and dreams with no lingering cleanser present..Just clean skin! Very pleased with the product.
