Chagrin Valley’s Shower Lotion Bar is a rich, emollient, after-shower moisturizer made with wholesome ingredients combined in a unique formula that is solid at room temperature but easily melts on your warm wet skin. You’ve always been told to apply moisturizers as soon as you hop out of the shower, why not use your shower as the optimal environment for skin hydration. Chagrin Valley’s in-shower body lotion bar works like a conditioner for your skin. Using the humidity and warmth of the shower, it helps seal in the moisture from your wet skin to create softer, smoother skin.

Choose naturally scented Cocoa Shea or an aromatherapy multi-butter blend:
Cocoa Shea — Enriched with unrefined shea and cocoa butters, has excellent skin softening and conditioning properties. No added scent, just the delicious aroma of unrefined cocoa butter combined with the nutty, earthy scent of unrefined shea
Citrus Blossom — Enriched with mango and illipe butters and infused with a refreshing scent with complex citrus notes
Lavender Rosemary — Enriched with mango and illipe butters to nourish dry, itchy skin. With a relaxing scent of lavender and light herbal notes.
Vanilla Bean — Infused with loads of organic vanilla beans. The aroma of real vanilla beans is delicious, but it's more than just a pretty scent—the major constituent of vanilla beans, vanillin, is a powerful antioxidant that helps skin repair cell damage.
Size: 3 oz bar
- Shower: After soaping & rinsing, massage the bar over your warm wet skin. Pay special attention to extra dry places. Your skin will readily melt the nourishing bar. Rinse or just pat dry.
- Hair: Rub bar on your hands and run your buttered fingers through the length of your hair.
- Bath: Cut a sliver off the bar, drop into your tub and watch as it melts away releasing skin loving ingredients.
- Exfoliate & Moisturize: Rub bar onto a wet buffing pad. Gently massage warm damp skin as nourishing butters penetrate deeply. Great for extra dry, cracked skin. Rinse and pat dry.
- Lotion bar: Rub the bar directly onto dry skin areas.

It's shape makes it easy to use right out of the shower. We all use it. The packaging is why I first bought it, and I love it, so I keep buying it. Great on my skin - soaks right in and leaves it feeling moisturized.
The product works great and it’s so nice to get everything done in the shower. It last ALL day!! A+ from me.
I use this product immediately after my shower, before drying off, with great results. Even after shaving my legs, no itchy skin. The most difficult part was changing my routine to remember to rub it on before grabbing the towel. The bar should not be kept in the shower but it stores well back in the box since it does not absorb moisture. I am sensitive to smell so I chose Shea/cocoa, closest to unscented. The light shea scent quickly disappears.
This lotion bar works very well. I used it for the first time in the shower after reading the description and do NOT recommend that. It left my shower/bath extremely slippery and I had to wash the floor with soap immediately. I now use it right out of the shower after I dry off and it works well. Even though it feels a little oily/thick at first, it soaks in quickly.
So, the reason I didn't give 5 starts … I ordered the cocoa bar and am not real happy with the scent. BUT, I am using it and have already ordered the citrus version. I have very dry skin and colorful tattoos which normally look ashy and dull. The first day I used it at the end of my shower before drying off. My skin literally stays soft and moisturized all day, when I go to bed my skin still is not dry. If I could attach a photo I would.
I got the Coca Shea. Boy did it smell bad out of the box! I let it sit on a soap dish a week or two; and the smell disappeared. I thought it wasn't doing anything; because it was hard to rub on my wet body after shower; but one day I sat down and was rubbing my legs, and they felt so smooth and velvety! (We're just so used to liquid lotion.) The bar should last a long time; and easy to take for travel (not a liquid!)
So far I’m loving the lotion, I have the cocoa and it smells a little different at first but it’s grown on me. It makes me skin super soft and buttery lol.
I thought this would feel like conditioner for my body. It is more like an oil bar. If you use oil as a moisturizer, this is a great plastic-free option to use in the shower. It doesn't work well after hand washing as a lotion.
Scent: Cocoa Shea: If you like smelling like chocolate, this scent is for you. I wasn't a huge fan.
I would probably get it again because I do use oil moisturizer and I love this company, but not in this scent.
I had to try this. And I did not care for it after use I had a waxy film on me that got sticky. The vanilla smelled wonderful.
I love the overall idea of this, especially, since I routinely use a little bath oil at the end of my shower. I thouht this would be excellent for travel. I wanted to love it--- but, I found it difficult to warm it up enough or get it to dissolve enough to work. I have better luck with other lotion bars in general. I felt like this has a bit too much wax in it. If the ratios shift a bit, it may work better.
Very strong smell. Leave a film. I was very torn whether I liked it or not.
I don’t. It leaves a strange film and it stinks. Not bad if you put it on your feet and dry spots and rinse but that’s it.
