Vejibags create a cool, humid environment and wick away excess moisture so you can avoid any more wasted, rotting produce.

Wet and wring out the Vejibag. Rinse your small veggies or herbs and shake out excess water. Store them in damp bag in the fridge. Redampen bag lightly as needed.
Vejibags are great for most kinds of produce! Especially: Arugula, Baby Beets, Brussels Sprouts, Baby Carrots, Green beans, Baby Lettuce, Peas, Radishes. Washed and dried mushrooms are very happy in a just damp Vejibag!
You can put more than one type of veggie in the bag pockets at the same time but avoid mixing fruits and veggies in the same pocket.
Most herbs work well in the bag pockets. Cilantro does well unwashed in just damp bag. Basil does not like wet or cold; it's best with stems a jar of water or fresh but dry leaves in a sealed plastic bag on the counter.
Launder with fragrance free detergent. Hang in the sun to dry or machine dry, expect 10% shrinkage the first time as this is a 100% cotton bag.
Remove stains as needed by soaking in an oxygen bleach or DIY hydrogen peroxide & washing soda solution.
Package free; primarily compostable except very minor components (e.g. plastic toggles or small stickers)

About Vejibag
Vejibag founder Sally Erickson is a real salad freak. When she moved to Maine she designed and built a solar greenhouse to feed her habit year-round. When harvest time arrived the first winter, she refused to insult her beautiful greens by selling them in plastic bags. Too many fresh vegetables turn to brown slime stored in plastic. An extensive search revealed a salad lover’s secret: humidity-loving vegetables don’t rot in damp cloth. Vejibag is a product that harms no one throughout its life cycle. Vejibag supports the physical, mental, spiritual and economic health of all stakeholders. Vejibag products can be reused or composted back to the soil without harm to the ecosystem. Vejibag uses no imports, period. Vejibag doesn't ship work overseas or buy materials across oceans, our organic cotton fabric sourced only in the United States. Products and processes are free from toxic substances. Vejibag's compensation practices for our people support a whole, balanced life.
