Get started with Vejibags! Store an entire crisper drawer’s worth of fresh produce in this set of two organic cotton Vejibags. The extra-large bag (14 x 17”) works great for Swiss chard, kale, leeks, eggplants and carrots with stems. The large bag (11 x 17”) holds beets, lettuce, asparagus, celery, zucchini and bell peppers.
Fresh veggies breathe easy in Vejibags. These undyed, organic cotton, French terry cloth bags keep vegetables crisp and vibrant for up to two weeks. Vejibags create a cool, humid environment and wicks away excess moisture so you can avoid any more wasted, rotting produce. Long live the veggies!

Wet and wring out the Vejibag. Rinse your veggies and shake out excess water. Store them in damp bag in the fridge. Redampen bag lightly as needed.
Vejibags are great for most kinds of produce! Especially: Artichokes, Asparagus, Arugula, Beets, Beet greens, Broccoli, Brussels Sprouts, Cabbage, Carrots, Cauliflower, Celery, Celeriac, Chard, Collards, Cucumber, Eggplant, Fennel, Green beans, Kale, Lettuce, Leeks, Parsnips, Peas, Peppers, Radishes, Rhubarb, Spinach, Scallions, Turnips, Zucchini. Washed and dried mushrooms are very happy in a just damp Vejibag!
You can put more than one type of veggie in a bag at the same time but avoid mixing fruits and veggies. Cilantro does well unwashed in just damp bag. Basil does not like wet or cold: it's best with stems a jar of water or fresh but dry leaves in a sealed plastic bag on the counter.
Launder inside out with fragrance free detergent. Hang in the sun to dry or machine dry, expect 10% shrinkage the first time as this is a 100% cotton bag.
Remove stains as needed by soaking in an oxygen bleach or DIY hydrogen peroxide & washing soda solution.

Thus far i have only used the bags with lettuce. The lettuce remains crisp for an extended period of time. I generally purchase lettuce heads as opposed to the lettuce sold in the plastic tubs.

I received my first vejibag as a fix and just bought my second so I could have the larger size as well. I am about to eat roasted zucchini that has been in my refrigerator for three weeks, and it is still as fresh as it was when my produce box arrived earlier in October. These bags preserve everything including herbs. This is the only solution I have ever found for preventing rotten produce and I will always have these on hand now. I can’t recommend these highly enough!

These bags are unbelievable! I have had green onions in a bag for close to two weeks and they still look fresh and crisp. Green onion go bad so quickly. I am amazed! I have used them for lettuce, asparagus and green beans. They really do keep veggies fresher for much longer!
I love using this bag for heads of lettuce that I have washed. It keeps the lettuce so fresh and crisp for a week or longer. I have tried using it to store the spring lettuce mixes that you get in a plastic tub at the store and it didn't work as well (which it does state on the instruction card.)
