Using a bar of soap to wash your dog is much easier and less messy than using liquid soap. Simply rub the bar on your dog's wet coat to make a rich, creamy lather. Massage the shampoo deep into your dog's coat and rinse thoroughly to prevent dried soapy hair. Rub your pooch down with a clean, dry towel. **Products with essential oils should not be used on cats

I tried the Honey & Oats shampoo bar on my little shihTzu-Bichon mix and it's great. I asked a question prior because I didnt see anything about conditioner. It's so much easier to use than traditional shampoos and much faster. After she dried off (this was a hot day) I was surprised! Her fur/hair was so soft and fluffed, and I hadn't used conditioner. This shampoo bar is made from natural products and my little lady is not nearly as itchy. Looks like another winner. Great shampoo for my dog. She has been itchy and scratching and after the bath (she has short but fluffy fur) it rinsed out great and it seems to have done wonders. I love knowing that what I put on my dog is safe for her. I was hesitant at first, but after the bath it is definitely my go to dog shampoo for my dog. I have a few favorite Chagrin Valley soaps. My other (new) favorite is Honey & Oats dog shampoo. My Australian shepherd and Rottweiler mix normally gets smelly fast. His coat also gets oily fast, and with the oiliness comes tons of dandruff. Ever since I've started using Honey & Oats on my boy, he stays fresher longer and smells better. He has no more flakes and oily coat. His coat is so soft and shiny. I saw an improvement the first time around. I also love that Honey & Oats also has essential oils that repel insects.
