Flu Season

Fall is officially here, which means cold and flu season is right around the corner.

Try your best to steer clear of the bad bugs this year by following these five easy tips:

1. Become the hand-washing enforcer! The CDC suggests teaching kids to wash with warm water and soap for 20 seconds by singing "Happy Birthday" song from beginning to end twice.

2. Stock up on natural hand sanitizer for backpacks, purses, sports bags and the car.

3. Swap your family’s cleaning and hand soaps that contain triclosan which can weaken the immune system with plant-based alternatives that are naturally antibacterial.

4. Launder sheets and lovies on a regular basis.

5. Run an air filter in your home.

I pledge to do my part to minimize the spread of germs this cold and flu season. Your pledge earns you an additional opportunity to support your school in our current challenge!

And leave a comment: what extra step will you be adding to beat the bugs?
