We have been slow in adding any bamboo fabrics to the site, as I had read conflicting information about the safety and eco-friendliness of bamboo fabric.  Here's the basic gist... Inside the hard bamboo cane are plant fibers that can be processed to make fabric. As a part of this processing, harsh chemicals can be added to break down the material. But I learned not all bamboo fabrics use these harsh chemicals. If you buy bamboo linens or clothing be sure it is certified free of harmful substances by Oeko-Tex or GOTS. Read more...
