5 Essential Oils for a Naturally Clear Face

Our five favorite essential oils help to calm skin challenges from acne to aging, dryness to oiliness. It's possible to improve and enhance your daily facial routine with these oils:  

Lavender Essential Oil: helps to regenerate cells for all skin types, especially mature skin, sun spots and scarring.  The relaxing, soothing scent makes for an ideal "before-bed" face cleansing ritual. 

Carrot Seed Essential Oil: creates a rejuvenating effect on your skin. It not only works to help smooth your skin, it encourages cell regeneration. It can also help to fade scars and improve signs of aging. It’s rich in antioxidants and helps to neutralize inflammation and wrinkle-causing free radicals.

Rose Essential Oil: is especially effective for dry or aging skin. This oil helps to refine your skin's texture and tone, and can help to manage psoriasis and dermatitis as well as healing acne.

Frankincense Essential Oil: is fantastic for all skin types. It has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory benefits, which makes it ideal for acne-prone skin. It's a natural toner, minimizes pores and evens skin tone. It also encourages new cell growth, helps to tighten skin, reduces wrinkles and the appearance of scars. 

Tea Tree Essential Oil: is one of the more well-known essential oils for acne-prone skin. Its antibacterial properties help to ward off bacteria and assist with wound healing. It also helps to regulate oil production, which can decrease the severity and frequency of breakouts.

DIY FACIAL CARE RECIPES

Clay Mask

Mix into a paste and smooth onto your face (avoiding the eyes and mouth). Relax for 5-15 minutes, rinse with warm water and pat dry.

Facial Moisturizer (great for dry/sensitive skin and keeping skin clear)

Keep in a glass bottle with dropper and smooth 4-6 drops on your face.

Lavender Lemon Face Wash

Mix together and store in a glass container.  The lavender will soothe irritated skin and the lemon will give your skin a lovely glow.
