We've been searching and testing stainless steel bakeware for awhile now. It wasn't a simple task because we had some firm criteria (as always) for what we wanted here at MightyNest. At the top of our list of criteria: Bakeware must be made of 18/10 stainless steel. These aren't just "dipped" in stainless steel, covering another material (like aluminum), but 100% stainless steel! We are committed to finding high quality stainless steel like high grade 18/10 (#304) to provide safe, corrosion resistant products for our customers to use safely in their homes. We also wanted a heavy gauge metal that would stand up to the test of time. When these arrived at MightyNest, a bunch of us moaned with delight at the weight and quality of these metal marvels. After throwing around multiple questions, "Should I get the jelly roll pan or the cookie sheet? What's the difference? Can I cut on the surface? Do you think I need 2 cake pans?" We all promptly bought our favorites.
With stainless steel bakeware, the oven does the baking, not the pan. Because it is made from stainless steel, heat will distribute evenly. This helps to avoid any burning and high grade, #304 stainless steel will not react with food. The cookie sheet, cake pan, jelly roll pan and pizza pan are easy to clean and dishwasher safe. Most importantly, these do NOT have a non-stick coating which contain dangerous chemicals, like PFOA. Found in Teflon (non-stick coating), PFOA has been linked to cancer, birth defects and higher rates of thyroid disease. The EPA has asked manufacturers to work towards eliminating PFOA from products by 2015. Why wait? Avoid Teflon now!

*The jelly roll pan has a lip around the edge, where the cookie sheet is a flat sheet. It is advised to not cut in the pan to avoid scratching and prolonging life of the pan.*
