Join the Million Baby Crawl!
What is the Million Baby Crawl?
Babies everywhere are crawling (well, virtually crawling on a cool interactive site) to say "no" to toxic chemicals in our homes. Seventh Generation, makers of naturally safe household products, is asking you to join the crawl and help them demand toxic chemical policy reform from Congress. Since 1976 the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has required safety testing on only 200 of the more than 80,000 chemicals on the market. Isn't it about time for a chemical law that helps keep our families truly safe? We think so.
How can you help?
Support the cause by going to their website and create a crawler, find and support a crawler (we made one named MIghtyB), or spread the word through facebook or email. All of these actions require no financial contribution and only a couple minutes of your time.
Here's what they want the bill to do:
- Take quick action on the most dangerous chemicals.
- Require full information on the health and environmental hazards associated with all chemicals.
- Protect all people and vulnerable groups - including children and pregnant women - using the best science.
Their opening statement is a great one: "We cannot stand, but we stand for something."
