So, You've Got a Slobbering, Drooling Chewer (a baby around 6 months!)
09.25.09 So, You've Got a Slobbering, Drooling Chewer (a baby around 6 months!)
You realize you need it long before actually have it. Your baby is shoving her entire fist into her mouth, drool dripping down in a long string. Or it's your hair, your shirt, or even your fingers she's chomping on.
Then you realize, you need a teether.
And forget about those plastic teethers. They are, well, plastic, and will be on the earth forever before they biodegrade. Then, add to that, they are packed with phthalates, BPA, and lord knows what other chemicals that are harmful to developing bodies and mind.
If you're here at MightyNest, that is a good first step. There are safer teethers made of wood or organic cotton, and some safer plastic ones, but I am still weary of those. For instance, this elephant ring is made of all organic cotton. It is safe for chewy babies to go wild with their little gummy mouths.
So get that baby something you can feel good about her drooling on, sucking, and chomping as those new teeth come in.
It will be one less thing to worry about!
