In 1994, two friends set out to introduce superfoods to the local San Diego community. Believe it or not, Coconut Oil, Cacao and Goji Berries were largely unknown at the time! Building the Sunfood brand with additional superfoods like exotic nuts, wild berries, and potent seeds – this movement quickly rivaled well-established processed foods found on supermarket shelves. This small, humble effort was the very beginning of today’s health-food revolution with a spotlight focused on superfoods. Today, Sunfood is a family-owned and operated business proudly sourcing, manufacturing and distributing more than 150 superfoods and supplements focused on the value of real-food nutrition.
