Plant Therapy's 100% pure undiluted Peppermint Western US Essential Oil is regarded as higher quality than non-U.S. peppermint oils due to its smoother, more refined odor. Peppermint Western U.S. oil has a higher menthol content (the main therapeutic constituent) and a lower pulegone content (a less pleasant constituent). Peppermint is stimulating, and when diffused can help uplift the spirit and enhance alertness. It can also relieve the discomfort of an upset tummy, and support healthy digestive and respiratory systems. Because of its higher menthol content, Peppermint has a cooling effect which can help when you are feeling under the weather. Peppermint Western US blends well with Basil (sweet), Coriander, Eucalyptus Globulus, Eucalyptus Radiata, Geranium, Lavender, Lemon, Rosemary, Spearmint, Spruce, Wintergreen and Ylang Ylang.

Use and care:
Peppermint can be diluted in carrier oil and applied to the temples and back of the neck when having head and neck tension. Add, well-diluted, to a carrier oil for an uplifting massage. It is also helpful to sniff when having a queasy stomach. Also useful at the end of a long day as a foot-soak, add a few drops to ½ cup of epsom salt dissolved in warm water. Add a couple of drops of peppermint to some distilled water or witch hazel and shake well for a cooling spray during menopausal “power surges” (avoid spraying around the eyes).
